Cambodia, France Sign Scholarship Agreement for Top Cambodian Students

Phnom Penh: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed to provide scholarships for outstanding Cambodian students to pursue a PhD in Digital Technology at the University of France. The agreement was signed between Mr. Seng Sopheap, President of the Academy of Digital Technology of Cambodia, and Mr. Jacques PELLET, Ambassador of France to Cambodia. The signing ceremony took place at the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications on the afternoon of July 22, 2024.

This MoU aims to continue the joint financing cooperation in offering scholarships to exceptional Cambodian students. The initiative is part of a broader effort to boost the country's digital human resources and enhance research and innovation capabilities. These scholarships are aligned with the Digital Skills Development Roadmap in Cambodia for 2024-2035.

Minister Chea Vandeth was present to witness the signing ceremony, underscoring the importance of this partnership in advancing Cambodia's digital technology sector.
